Note to self: Being Mum is fun!

I love my daughter but if I'm being honest there are some days where I'd happily like to lock myself in the cellar away from her! Days with a 18 month old can be tough; the most nutritious meals get thrown on the floor; the mountains of toys do not entertain; the same book is demanded to be read over and over; or despite the crying, eye rubbing and yawning, she just won't nap. It was on one such day last week that my daughters bedtime could not come quick enough for me. As I fetched her milk she turned to kiss daddy good night, then the dog, followed by waving and "night, night". My husband and I turned to each other and smiled, both filled with warmth from our daughters sweetness. Any parent knows it's a tough job, but that evening I was reminded that being Mum is hard but most definitely fun :)
